(1) The product
(2) The founding team
(3) Funding and Hiring
(4) Why the business excites me

Current events + business talk
(5) Meme + NFT Market
(6) Hustler's ambition

Disclaimer: None of this is sponsored, I choose what to write about. This is not financial advice either!

Today is dedicated to Continuum!

The Product

(i) problem

Alternative education can be inaccessible and/or expensive.

Learning by yourself gets lonely. There’s also no accountability.

(ii) solution and demo

Here’s where Continuum comes in - a free, learn-to-earn social network for education.

Here’s what their team says

Continuum aims to be the global vocational school for the future of the digital economy — a hub for self-taught professionals and makers.

Our social platform will be owned by creatives, professionals, and hobbyists

Here’s how I see it - a platform where you can take courses and earn crypto rewards (GEMs).

These gems would be convertible to $UUM (their upcoming erc20 token).

It’ll give you voting rights, meaning that you (as a participant) can take part in shaping the product, as well as access to premium content.

What I really like is their focus on the web3 ethos.
Check this

I spoke with the Continuum team and can guarantee that many exciting things are coming. I can’t share but they will soon enough.

A bit about the app:
It runs smoothly and is simple to operate.
Here are only some of the courses you can take

I did the course on Brand Voice and was pretty cool.
Levelled up a bunch and got the gems.

The next course I’ll be taking is about Polygon zkEVM.

Besides the courses, there is a “tiktok-style” short-form content.
It’s educational but also fun.

Some are videos, others are carousel-types.
Good vibes all around!

There’s also a section “Expert Answers” and it’s pretty cool - there’s this expert called “vaundy” who even responded with a video on how to use Python!

I really like that^

(iii) considerations

The only consideration I have is about people gaming the system.

In my 2 years of crypto, I’ve learned that if a system can be exploited for (financial gain) the bad actors will do it.

^ I spoke with the team and they confirmed that precautions are being taken. Love to see it

(iv) how you can benefit

  • You can learn about topics in a cool way

  • You can create content and courses

  • You can meet other knowledge-hungry individuals

But also, there will be a token (public knowledge).
We don’t know when or how it’ll happen but being involved will likely increase your chance of getting it 👍️

Using the platform's native network token, $UUM, learners and creators can earn residual income and ownership rights.

Creators and learners can capture the value they create on the platform, effectively owning the network they help build.

Besides all these, you can apply to be an ambassador

Funding and Hiring

A) Funding - yes

Continuum raised $1.5m in a pre-seed round in February of 2022.

Investors include: Shima Capital, GSR Ventures, Balaji, and others.

Now.. I’m not a fundraising expert but that feels like a healthy pre-seed so investors must really like the idea & team!!

For reference, below are some other pre-seed rounds:

  • Coinbase - $600k

  • Consensys - $500k

B) Hiring - not currently

Why this business excites me

Making education fun + doing it in a web3 way??
Love to see it

Will leave you with their mission👇️

Favourite meme of the week

Stolen from the boys at Doodhwala

Also, last week I asked you what your favourite animal is.
The one reply was a cat so here’s one for hehe

Quick market things

1/ Fifa making moves

3/ ENS subdomains. This is really cool cause brands can start giving away subdomains.

For example, I can give Brian a brian.web3adv.eth domain if he wishes.

Hello Brian, I see you 👋

4/ A cool thread about VCs starting incubators

My on-chain activity

Nothing on mainnet but I’ve been getting Goerli eth and bridging to scroll.
Will be doing more over the next few weeks I hope

Hustler's Ambition

A section dedicated to business frameworks/ideas/tools

Some guerilla marketing for ya 😅

And the screenshot below is a template you can use to network effectively on LinkedIn. Shoutout Trayan H for this legendary comment

See you next Sunday👋
