Host, co-sponsor & participate in hackathons
Hey there!
My mission is to support ambitious founders and fuel innovation!
move house 💀 💀
I forgot just how much hassle it is.

Buttttt, there’s a cool opportunity 😅
Does anyone want to move in together??? I’m serious
It would be cool - imagine 3-4 of us, web3 people, working on cool things in the living room, going to events and so on.
If that sounds interesting, drop me a message.
I’m thinking somewhere around London or Edinburgh 🏴
Anyway, let’s get into the newsletter. The plan
Use this framework to look into a business:
(1) The product
(2) The founding team
(3) Funding & Hiring
(4) Meme of the week
(5) Hustler's ambition
Disclaimer: None of this is sponsored, I choose what to write about. This is not financial advice either!
Today is dedicated to buidlbox

The Product
(i) problem
Do you know where to find info about web3 events??
If you read my newsletter - yes. I wrote about it here
But what about hackathons?? I’ve not seen much.
Thankfully, someone came up with buidlbox
(ii) solution & demo
I love how the team has explained it so attaching a screenshot

Here is how it looks
You create your account & add your interests

On the next tab, you can see live and past Hackathons.

I reckon the team will soon add a filter for the upcoming ones.
When you select a hackathon, you see:
the event schedule
the different prize pools
the judges
and sponsors
Signing up happens in just a few minutes.
It’s really well thought out and I can see why it’s been successful!

(iii) how you can benefit
You can use the platform to:
organize or participate in a hackathon
follow the hackathons happening
If you wanna check out the product, click HERE
The founding team
The product was developed by Supermodular

Kevin Owocki: Founder (Twitter)
➙ co-founder of Gitcoin
More about him below

Funding and Hiring
A) Funding
I couldn’t find anything
B) Hiring
Couldn’t see anything on their website or LinkedIn.
Favourite meme of the week

Hustler's Ambition
(A section dedicated to frameworks/ideas/tools)
Given that hackathons are about shipping, I have found you an absolute shipper to learn from
Last month I shipped 9 new apps ✨
(a year of apps in a single month 🤯)
My secret?
⭐️ Boilerplate created by GPT-4(better results)
⭐️ Debugging with GPT-3.5(faster)
⭐️ Bigger bugs in GPT-4(smarter)
⭐️ Icons by Mid-JourneyThen: I polish clean it up and release it ✨
